I'm going to be in the market to upgrade my RAM in a short while. I want to get a 2x2GB of 1066mhz DDR2. As of now, I'm very into these two options, mainly for the price range and the timings.
GSkill: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231166 Patriot: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820220314 Ideally, I'd like them to be able to do 1100mhz, maybe even 1150... Which set would be better to get? Any experiences with failures or overclocking them? If you know of better stuff, feel free to recommend those, but do note, I can't afford more than $60 shipped for my upgrade. As always, thanks for any help and input!

Between patriot and g.Skill, i would prefer G.Skill
With those specific sets of RAM i have no idea how far they can be overclocked but im sure either set will get you what you want.

Or if you only need to get to 1100, these are a very good value right now:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820146795

If you are looking at Patriot I would suggest looking at the Viper Extreme Latency models instead. I think that they are around the same price and overclock better. They are also rated for much lower latencies (usually) than the ones you posted.

Take a look at these Reapers. Pretty cheap with rebate and generally OC well.
