wow do you have some proof of this. i always thought the 1:1 was the best id be interested in seeing some benchmarks with the your system running at 1:1 and 3:4 and see which yeild higher results. by the way how much did that kit cost.

You may have to use a different ratio though.

Instead of 3:4 maybe 2:3 or even some 1:2 if the board doesn't mind using those.
I'm having trouble using different multipliers other then 2.4 and 2.66. For example 400 FSB x 3.0 (1200mhz) doesn't even boot, while I know it's a piece of cake for that memory.

Sure there is tons of proof about this. Also memory doesn't clock as well when at 1:1 ratio, at least not on the UD3P. I might post up some proof later if you like, but right I'm focussing on testing the maximum speeds at various settings.

Here I achieved the maximum speed with CL4. 1 FSB more and it spams errors at me

Edit: for the record, this is much slower then 1261 @ CL5. Maybe this is nice on an nVidia board, but not in my case. I'm getting 8981 mb/s write speed, while at 1261 I'm getting over 10.000 mb/s.

What voltage are you using for that speed (CAS4)?

There are countless posts on this same old mistaken assumption in this forum.

Get your own proof: get Everest & SuperPi & try the different ratios for yourself.

The only people who still think 1:1 is any good are those who don't bother with research, & who are too lazy to run their own benches.

(Or those stuck with nFarce chipsets.)

I'm not surprised you're having trouble with the higher ratios...it's because they use a lower strap, which puts a lot more stress on the board.

Kinda sux for max testing though, since you have to use a much higher FSB.

P.S. Just ordered 2x OCZ2P1200LV4GK from eGhay...won't likely get them for a couple weeks based on the slow shipping i chose though.

Has everyone gone out and bought one of these kits? I tried to add 2 sets for 8GB (planning an upgrade), and Newegg told me that they didn't have sufficient quantity...

1.9v just like all other tests.

And I'm sorry guys, but I can't get my system to boot higher then 480 FSB, so can't test higher speeds. Even when underclocking the CPU it still won't boot, and 1.28v NB and 1.26v CPU term voltage should be enough. I'll try some other memory multipliers but I don't think it will work.

Edit: 390 FSB with the 400 strap and 3.33 multiplier (1300mhz) and 6-6-6-21 doesn't even boot.

your not helpful at all infact your post seams kinda rude to me. and everest and superpi are not good benchmarks maybe sisoft i would accept or pcmark. so if your not willing to help. you should just sign off and stop posting thanks for trying but you failed as a person

Hmm I looked at this memory but then I thought no because of the cheap price, the Dominators looked better, but what are they like in reality? Are these really 'top of the line'? I don't like the idea of low voltage chips incase they can't handle high voltages so well. And are they as good as OCZ Reapers?
