Default What do people think of this memory? XMS3500LLpro

Corsair XMS TWINX2048-3500LLPRO 2GB

I've been looking at this for a little while now and would like to find a 2gb pair of DDR with some low latencies. On a day to day basis I don't crank my overclock up to the max. But even so this though this memory has been shown to reach 255mhz fsb at 1T-2.5,3,3,7 timings which Im really liking and cant get my cpu up higher then that anyway. But the 1T- 2,3,2,6 timings up to 225mhz sounds inticing for a 2gb pair.

I wish they came as NON-Pro models to avoid paying for the LED's.

Do the other performance memory companies have any low latency 2gb dual channel solutions for DDR1?

I realize this is going to sound like a stupid question, but, have you searched and done any reviews on those and other manufacturer's modules? Please take no offense, from the way you have worded things, it appears that has not been done. However, I could be completely wrong and just talking out of my butt.

Those modules are fast and do have very low latencies but, to me, there just aren't enough reviews or user experiences available to really formulate a good opinion of them yet.

Try looking on the net for these modules:

I have done some research but maybe I didn't look hard enough because I didn't find any direct comparisons like that. And thats exactly what I was looking for. Not to mention that 100 eyes are better than two. Plus I just wanted someone elses input on it all.

I was finding alot of pc4000-5000 memory but all with cas3 timings on the 2gig matched sets.

So it seems that the OCZ4000 memory is just a hair better with performance benchmarks.. But show slower frame rates with the game tests. Thats odd.

I do however like the customer service that Corsair provides, which is why Im tempted to go with that company. How is the service with OCZ?

Thanks for the reply! This will help me decide for sure. Reps!

Service with OCZ is excellent. On DFI street, we have 2 reps that stop in on a regular basis which you can PM with questions anytime.

Plus, there are multiple benchmarks provided that show the performance in various situations that user's have submitted.
