Received a new triple channel memory kit from folks at Gskill - 6GB Gskill Trident F3-16000CL9T-6GBTD. The Gskill Trident F3-16000CL9T-6GBTD is supposedly using Elpida BBSE memory ICs, while not as capable as Elpida Hyper 50mm ICs for >DDR3-2000Mhz 7-8-7-x speeds, they still hold their own for looser timings. I'll post my preliminary results here in preparation for a larger triple channel memory kit comparison review in the works
System:
First hour using this kit and managed an overclock on these for 8x 32M Pi @DDR3-2124Mhz 9-9-9-24 1T at 1.72v. Asus P6T6 WS Revolution bios sets latencies pretty tight so good pi performance even for Win7 OS ![]() Both 8x 32M Pi and single 32M Pi runs done in same windows session. ![]() ![]() Shows promise, so now to let this memory kit get to know my Xeon W3540 + Asus P6T6 WS Revolution pairing ![]() Timings and CMD Rate comparison Some preliminary memory tests for new 6GB Gskill Trident F3-16000CL9T-6GBTD triple channel memory kit in preparation for a larger triple channel memory kit comparison review in the works
Detailed full screenshots for each configuration tested can be seen here. .

I saw this on extreme systems (?) nad it really helped me out with my overclock since I have these sticks, well done and thank you +rep
running at 8-8-8-20 and 1600mhz at 200blk 1.41 vcore (i know high) and around 1.66dram and over 1.5 vvt, trfc was at 92 but im knocking it down now, my bloodrage wants to set it around 60 when I put it to auto so ill give 60 a shot 2000mhz is damn hard to run with these sticks at such a high blk but ill get to it sooner or later

thanks guys
![]() with right board and cpu you should hit 2000mhz easy as it's all in cpu vtt uncore and vdimm volts ![]() Updated results

Max memory clocks @9-10-9-24 1T at 1.76v Folks are reporting higher head room mhz with 9-10-9-x timings for Elpida BBSE, and I can confirm that is correct. With 9-9-9-24 this trident kit maxing out 32M around DDR3-2124mhz with ceiling of semi-stability around 2160mhz. With 9-10-9-24 timings same trident kit pushed 32M pi @DDR3=2220mhz and managed validation @DDR3-2281Mhz all at 1.76v vdimm and 1.65v QPI/DRAM uncore volts. System:

nice, probably going to try to get back to 2000mhz later om today, maybe (hopefully) get below 8m 50s on super pi 32m
hopefully I wont need to raise the vdimm although ive run a 1.7 without a problem already

well thats no problem since I need sky high vvt and vcore to even get my cpu stable!!!
sounds great man ill consider than when i try to jack it from 1600 to 2000 do you think I'll gain some superpi speed from that? or even 3d mark vantages points (im 200 shy of 28000!!!!!!!!)

as long as vdimm within 0.5v of uncore volts (qpi/dram or cpu vtt depending on board terminology) then it's safe.
New personal best cpuz memory validation and first time breaking DDR3-2300Mhz for triple channel on X58 @DDR3-2305Mhz 9-10-9-24 1T at 1.78v. Previous best was @DDR3-2298Mhz 9-9-9-24 with 3GB Samsung HCF0 modules. System:
Max Validation @DDR3-2305Mhz 9-10-9-24 1T at 1.78v QPI/DRAM = 1.65625v VDIMM = 1.78v Uncore frequency = 4608Mhz ![]() ![]() ![]() Super Pi 2M @DDR3-2256Mhz 9-10-9-24 1T at 1.78v
