I'm in the process of acquiring the parts for my i7 build. I will be overclocking with a target of 4.0ghz. What's the general consensus on these two kits? Are there better options?

You can't go wrong with any of those kits, however the G.Skill might give you issues with aftermarket heatsinks.

Trick is many of the reviews flatout show higher memory Bandwidth being the ultimate win of performance with DDR3 on i7's
Generally holds true on most Intel chips as well. So the tight timings might be great - but if You can crank the Clocks higher without crazy high Voltage than go with a cheap kit, that you know you have a good chance on clocking 2ghz or higher That G.Skill trident series is pretty ugly -.- Also, if you Memory Dimms is close enough to your CPU cooler, the Push Pull config fan might interfere with the position of the memory modules. On my Board I woul dhave an issue if I were using all 6 Dimms

Think I would go for the Mushkin Enhanced kit. They seems pretty awesome, and Cas latency 6 at 2000mhz is pretty impressive.
Thought the G.SKILL Trident looks better, but who gives a crap. Performance is first priority. Good luck whichever kit you get.

Dimm profile is a concern as I will be mounting these on a BloodRage. Does anyone have Tridents on a BloodRage w/ an aftermarket cooler?
