What is a good, efficient program that I can use to test out the stability of my RAM? How long should I run it for?

This! Also one of the older OCCT has a memory test option, and that finds instabilty pretty well. It helped me with my old Dell, and my moms pc too. But now I use Memtest86+.

theres memtest which is pretty much the standard. get 4.0 and burn the iso and just boot from it... version 3.4 worked too but it doesnt support multi core (i think) and 3.5 beta is only a test for multi core cpus, it kept crashing my pc...
if you want to test within windows, look up a program called BurnInTest. i used that from within windows and it works pretty well. It tests everything too, ram, cpu, gpu, sound, network etc etc. Prime95 stresses your cpu (people use it for temp monitoring of their oc) but yer, blend tests your ram aswell. IMO the memtest bootable is your best bet. it served me well trying to get my ram stable ![]() *anyone feel free to correct me if im wrong, im pretty much just stating what ive read around the forums...
