Default Should i buy 1 GB of ram?

If i buy 1 GB of ram so i can have 3 GB this aditional 1 gb of ram will slow my rams speed or computer speed?

If it's a different type to your current RAM, it might make a difference when OCing your RAM, but aside from that, I don't see any reason not to

Yup.

Now if the new stick of RAM has a different speed rating. Then the whole system will downclock to the slowest one.

Even if it does lower the MHz on it, more RAM is always better.
