Hello everyone at ocn, I am having trouble getting my ram stable enough to pass memtest. I have an asus p5q3 deluxe motherboard with 4x1gig corsair dd3 1066 1.5v. People have mentioned that I need to increase my vdimm and nb voltage if I have all four slots filled. My standard nb voltage is 1.10 and I have brought it up to as high as 1.26 nb voltage and 1.6 vdimm voltage and still cannot pass memtest. Please help. I would not like to increase my nb voltage anymore if possible because my nb already runs hot. My nb temps are already over 50c.

from what I have seen on newegg, the lowest voltage reccommended for any ddr3 is 1.5v so I would suggest trying 1.6v or 1.65v

Is going up to 1.65 for ram rated for 1.5 safe? It wouldn't hurt the ram? Would I be able to get away with just raising vdimm and not nb voltage?
