I have built a computer for family and I can't seem to figure out what's going on. I randomly get ram related BSODs even though this ram passed memtest at it's rated voltage and it passes prime.

I have a 2x2 1066 mushkin set, e6500 clocked to 3.6 and ep45-ud3l.

In the system tab I notice the ram says 4 gigs but next to it says (3.5 usable) so after a bit of research I see this may be a memory remap issue. This board doesn't have the setting and i'm updated to the f7 bios. Can it possibly be anything else? Or can I remedy this in any way.

Btw, i'm using 64 bit windows 7. Thanks.

Hmm well you dont have onbard vid so something is taking it

"i had the Msconfig boot up with (Selective Start) "
is what was causing it for another person
make sure yours is set to normal startup go to start menu type in msconfig click program that appears and its in first tab

I like selective because I don't have 80 startup programs going at once. Lol. I'll try it though.

How long did you run memtest for? Try running one stick at a time.

Damnit, well I guess the normal startup option did work, I must have forgotten to look at the control panel :S

Now I can't delete some of the startup things like Adope Updater that I won't ever use because then it will go to selective startup?
