I'm most likely going to get one of those. But I think they're the same RAM, just one has heat spreaders. Can somone varify that for me?

heatspreaders do help w/ cooling, but not much. it's really your preference

Or... the timings on this RAM are a bit better. And it's cheaper. Should I get that instead?

Yes. G.Skill is a much better brand that Patriot. More overclockable, too.

I would disagree with thta statement infact they are both very high performing brands which are pretty much on level par with eachother.
