Default Anyone one knows MB cooler

that is compatible with the Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 P965 Express NB? I'm going to buy that motherboard but I heard it will get really hot on the NB so I need to find a campatible NB cooler for it.

Most people do not bother with NB cooling because they just don't get that hot.

Well, that varies widely. Some northbridges can get pretty hot. The Asus A8N32 boards (nVidia nForce 4) can get pretty hot, while the Asus A8R32 MVP Deluxe runs very cool.

I am not sure which cooler will fit... I believe generally the Northbridge is pretty standard size, but not sure about that. Let me poke around a lil on the web.

This one looks nice to me. It comes with all kinds of clips and screws, and I think it might fit on basically any northbridge

Yeah I was wondering if anyone owns the MB that uses an aftermarket NB cooler or someone that knows for sure it fits so I could buy one.

Usually, sticking a fan on top of it helps the most.

I remember I did that long time ago with my P4T, I used a 5mm fan and it kept the heat-sink cool. I didn't bother with my P5WD2 because the northbridge runs cool but if my P5B DX tends to run hotter, I may just stick a 5mm fan on top of the heat-sink.

BTW, I use double-sided tape to put the fan and I've used that type several times in the past and it never failed.
