Default Auto Vcore Voltage

When the setting "auto" is set for vcore voltage, how does the motherboard come up with this number?

Also why does BIOS read a different vcore number than say when you are in windows looking at CPU-z or a program like Ai Booster?

When on Auto it will adjust the V-core according to the FSB and operating frequency of the CPU. There is a calcualtion in this procedure of course which tells the motherboard to increase the V-core as such.

The V-core read in the BIOS will be correct. In Windows Porgrams can misread the BIOS at times.
