??????????????????????????

I hope you're kidding right?

Dropping multi 6x with 500FSB = 3.0GHZ how is that going to increase temp greatly? It won't, it will be the same

Heres the cpu-z valdiation, its all I'm doing tonight as its 1am and I have to work in the morning. I'll do some benchmarks and screw around with the bios some more at work tomorrow. Lots of settings in this bios and I don't know what half of them do.

Try 500fsb and SLI: SLI again!@965Chip ASUS P5B Deluxe!

But IMO, SLI is a waste of money because I see most people with SLI that they're never happy because the next Gen cards are always ending up being less expensive and more powerful than their current last gen SLI. Case in Point, the 7800GTX and then the 7900GT came out and the GT was less expensive and just as if not faster, so why ever bother with SLI. It's just a hype.

And now that I see CPU-Z, now let's see the benchies. What are the timings and ratio you're using with that MoBo?

I agree with nasgul. You're better off just buying one of the latest card instead of two and saving the money for the next latest card when it comes out. I feel bad for anyone who spent over 600$ on two 7800's and now the 8800 alone beats 2 7800s in sli, and costs the same as two 7800s. You just know history will repeat itself every 6months.

*edit* oh and I didn't even factor in the extra price for a decent sli mobo. They just keep playing mean tricks on us easily fooled consumers.

The P5B runs Sli with hacked drivers @ 16x and 4x but anyways, trying to bump it too 500fsb, pretty sure its a voltage thing, what voltage settings do you guys have for your cpu, NB and ram, to get your 500FSB?
