Ok, what are the thoughts on the MSI P35 NEO2-FR? I may need a new mobo, I can get one for £70 locally, is it worth it? I may go quad 45nm in a year, but for now I just want some stability (I have a toasty NB atm)

Hey guys I just thought it might be nice to give this Sticky a facelift, since it's pretty outdated at this point.

Here's what I have so far, please bear in mind I am by no means the "expert" on this. If I have anything wrong or you have boards/posts/info to add, feel free to comment and I will edit accordingly. I tried to get both DDR2 and DDR3 selections included in each section, since we're getting to the edge of mainstream DDR3 at this point in my opinion.

The goal here would not necessarily be to show someone what board to buy, but rather to educate them on multiple choices that fulfill their needs and also to give pertinent information whenever possible, to help someone make their final decision themselves.

THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS AND BY NO MEANS SHOULD YOU BUY A MOTHERBOARD BASED SOLELY ON THE INFORMATION WITHIN THIS POST.

Just thought it would be fun to work on this as a community.

Hope you all enjoy!

This thread is in dire need of updating since most of the boards reviewed are now obsolete and have been replaced by newer chipsets and their are also some price changes to consider.

An updated thread is going to include the overclocking world record holder from `Biostar`, the incredible TPower I45.

If their has already been an updated thread on this then just ignore everything i said, i would be happy if someone can point me at it with a link.
