Hey thanks for the tip and the link straight to new egg! But when I was there.... I saw this...
Notice: Only DDR2-800 memory supporting JEDEC approved 1.8V operation with timings of 5-5-5 or 6-6-6 is supported on Intel Desktop Boards based on Intel 965 Express Chipsets

This doesn't mean my 4-4-4 ram won't work does it?

no, it will work. they list stuff like that, but all you have to do is change the settings in BIOS.

Me either... I feel like buying a P5N32-E SLI board myself just to test it. Currently testing this Biostar board to check it's 500+ FSB claim (currently waiting on BIOS update for multiplier)

@SaII -I'm working on that currently, this will be edited into my post eventually.

@Ihatethedukes -PM me with your SS' of the board + your thoughts of the board/more info you would like to share with us. Thanks.

@knickfan5745 -I would directly link the boards to Newegg, but I don't really want to sponsor Newegg with my posts.

I would have chose the P5B-Deluxe, because it's proven. I think the 680i boards are very good, but aren't flawless as the P5B is.

I did.

  • P5B offer more stability, higher voltage, better BIOS, and is tried and true.
  • I really don't need SLI
Aside from some amazing enlightenment about the 680i, I will be ordering a P5B over the weekend.

Seems to me that you or anyone, would want to get board that will accept the new Quad Core and the FSB of 1333. Then you will have a board that you can upgrade to Quad Core later. Just my thoughts. As the P5B is on that list. http://usa.asus.com/news_show.aspx?id=4892

I heard quadCore didn't show that much improvement. Is that true? Anyway that's like a year or more away for me based on the cost. But this is a motherboard thread so i'll get back to mobos..... Cgrado.. what settings would i have to change? Are they difficult?
