Actually, all 975x boards work with SLI, just on hacked drivers (also the DQ6 and P5B-Deluxe). I just said Crossfire on the list do to native support.

I think your D975XBX2 review needs a little more work. The XBX2 is the only current board with reference frequency (NB Strap) control. The board also has the lowest Vdroop of any C2D motherboard. It is the highest overclocking 975X motherboard and it is only $220 now, on par with all other 975X boards.

The D975XBX2 should be the premier 975X board, and in my opinion the top C2D board in the $200+ budget range.

Most boards will have the NB strap selection with BIOS updates. As for the vdroop on boards, there's mods for the other boards. Though, the board only allows for a max of 1.6v of vcore, so that's a bit out of the picture.

But if you really think about it, it's just another Intel board with Intel's great tech support Sorry, it's one of their first enthusiast board that needs work.

I'm sorry, unless you give me some proof of BIOS updates to support NB Strap control, then I don't buy it. This is currently the only board to other such a feature, and it should be noted. There are mods for all sorts of board, but if a board come with such a low Vdroop stock, it should be noted. We are not comparing stock board to highly modded boards are we? We are comparing stock to stock, because most OCN users do not mod their motherboards. Then you counter your own point. Sure the board only can do 1.6V Vcore, but guess what? There are Vmod to increase the Vcore. Besides the point, how many people are running their C2D over 1.6V?

The board is not covered in heatpipes, another plus. You tell me it needs work, care to elaborate on what exactly needs work? The great BIOS, PWM and VRM aren't enough?

Give me a break. Your review of the XBX2 was negative from the start. You haven't really given the board a shot.
