It's well known that PI is more sensitive to ram timings than pretty much any other bench program. 3Dmarks are not so much the case. I'm fairly certain that 06 will perform better at 405FSB over 400 on the ASUS (from my current knowledge) and that all the three will not respond well to the higher FSB. (Feel free to prove me wrong but I'm still adjusting to the new Intel platform mindset off of the K8).

A well-deserved sticky Paul--I learned a lot from this thread. And am applying it to my education at Conroe Riddle University LOL. Not really pleased with how the straps on my Abit act--especially with the ill-matured BIOS that are avalable. I assume that the P5B has no issues with DDR2 1000 or with running in Dual Channel on the 1333 NB strap. Unfortunately (as you said above) all straps (can) vary from mobo to mobo and mine has issues...

I am not going to run tests until I can fix my cold boot and BIOS problems. My system is highly unstable during cold starts and BIOS adjustments. I can't really figure it out.
