Default Asus P5B-VM

Hey y'all,
I recently bought a computer, but since my space in home is small, so i bought a mATX box. They said that P5B-VM is good, with X3000, but i found out that the overclocking really suks. do anyone of you use p5b-vm? i use E6600, and the maximum that i can overclock is from 2.4GHz to 2.56GHz...

Default Info

The LAST thing you should do at this point is raise voltages.

The First thing you should do is read one of the hundreds of core 2 duo overclocking guides that are on here and other forums.

1. Lock the PCI and PCIE frequencies first.
2. Then put the memory on a 1:1 with the FSB.
3. Disable everything in the bios that is not needed, legacy usb, serial port, etc.
4. Raise the FSB 5-10 mhz at a time and run memtest86+ for 10 minutes before letting windows boot.

If you still get the same results, voltage wont help you. You would be able to get a much more significant overclock with out changing voltages, if you were going to be able to get an overclock on that board.

I didn't research the board, but it if has integrated video, STOP and give up.
