The /WB needs to be added inside the abitfae.bat file at the end of the AWDFLASH.exe command line.

Also, I tried formatting a floppy in XP using the "Create MS-DOS Startup Disk", but this doesn't leave enough room on the floppy to load the BIOS files on it as well. Do I need to format the floppy with the "Create MS-DOS Startup Disk" box checked? Though I've been really involved with computer hardware for the last 7 years, this if my first time flashing a BIOS in about 5 years, so I'm a little rusty

But yeah, if someone could help me w/ my two questions, I would be very appreciative

Code 25 is Initialise Slot 5

Now what is Slot 5 is a good Q, but maybe an interrupt conflict between your add-in borad and onboard ... try to disable all non-essential onboard items ... Serial ports / Lan / Sound etc... and see if that helps then switch them back on 1 by 1.

It is best not to use the SW Flash with these beta BIOS, there are some concerns at abot that it may not work 100%, hence using the DOS version. If you have no floppy then use a CD R/W and just change the path from A: to C: or whatever letter becomes the default.

The only thing that helps with is keeping your things controlled by the southbridge stable. I raise it up so that at high fsb my sata hdd's are less likely to drop out of existance. It helps when getting to high fsb in loading windows and such but I dont think it will help with stability once your allready running orthos.

Its worth atry to experiment with but not sure if it will help with your situation. Give it a try none the less. I think the actual rated voltage for these SB's is something like 1.65 so I dont see a problem with running 1.7 with a good cooler on it that doesnt even heat up.

Ahh, that makes sense. Up to 500FSB the only thing I changed was vcore and vmch. The problem is that orthos lasts about 2 hours, yet games and stuff crash right away. I tried raising the SB voltages, I'll see if that helps anything.

As always... I guess I'll just have to do a ton of playing around with different setting combos.

crap... that sounds weird but wouldn't it be the NB needing more voltage? what Orthos was it Fishie?

What's even wierder is my DS3R could reach like 520fsb without any voltage changes at all. Just set for 6x and off it goes... not too stable though.

Oh... so that one runs on four cores with one click?

I use Prime 25.3 it is nice and easy to get going... saves clicks and time
(the clicks are dieing! save them!)

I'm pretty sure... if it runs fine on duals with one click I think it should handle quad.

Not really. Orthos crashes after 10-20 seconds. Increasing the Vcore didn't seem to help. What can i do here?

Did you disable EIST and C1E? Also what memory divider are you using?
