Looks like I'm going to need to RMA my board, it's not recognizing Dual Channel at all. I've tried multiple configurations and with 2 sticks and 4 sticks all at once...

Man... I hope you get it all figure out or you get the RMA soon.... good point about the side SATA ports... I have the same problem with my moard and A900... anoying is an understatement when you got 5 HDDs minimum

Now the RAID thing scares me Pirate... I NEED my board to run two RAID0's at decent if not fenomenal speeds... and also NEED at least a 5th drive for the system... I am durrently getting 120MB/s and the 7200rpm x 2 RAID0 record for OCN with my second set at 138.5MB/s.... while I don't need it to be a record I do need them to be faaaast... I would hope to have both at 120MB/s... please update regarding your RAID... and anyone else with info please post too..... thanks...

Hey maybe the first post can have some HDD benches? It might be complicated cause you'd have to show the complete setup with the individual speeds per line... kinda like:

USlatin - 2 x 7200.10 seagates RAID0 138.5MB/s, 2 x 7200.10 Seagates RAID0 120MB/s, 1 x 7200.10 seagate 80MB/s

What do you say menthol?

I personally like the side mounted sata ports as it allows you to hide the sata cables alot easier.

it might be set up like my DS3 was setup where some of the SATA ports wouldn't work when you enable raid.... man.... that's bad news for me.... try disabling raid and see if ur optical comes alive again... look in the manual it should mention something of the sort if that's the case

I got RAID working...it was a stupid error on my part. I didn't notice that under Boot Device it had a seperate option for LG DVD instead of just the SATADVD.

As far as the RAM issue, DIMM slots 3 and 4 don't work. I tested all the memory modules in the first two and they worked just fine. When I first opened the box I noticed that one of the white tabs was loose on one of them...maybe that has something to do with it. All I know is that it's going to be RMA'd and hopefully the next board will work without a hitch.

are you trying to use four sticks of RAM?

remember that sometimes MoBos need the first sticks to go in specific DIMMs but if you add more sticks the others work... start off with one boot, add second boot and so on... if it doesn't work you might have to RMA your RAM... I had to RMA a pair of my HZ's and the RMA'ed pair worked right away as my 3rd and 4th sticks... (diff MoBo but it might work) this way you don't have down time too

I tried every memory stick in DIMM slots 1 and 2 and they all worked. None of them work in 3 or 4, even in single channel.
