ahh...kind-of 'bandwidth benching' the SB? interesting..make sure you fiddle with the HTT freq multi..it is key for increasing Tx speeds for nvidia chipsets.

Yeah they will be more common once the supply gets cycled thru. I cant wait to get it on water and see what I can hold with temps. 4.0 would be great but if I can get 3.8ghz Ill be happy.

At 3.6 running 3dmark I am beating my E6600 at 4.4ghz by alot. I dont remember the exact number but its upward iof 500points or more I think.

I am glad it will do atleast 460fsb though, COnsidering its a B3 and gets that says something about this board. I could tweak and get higher I am sure.

Sounds like the x32xx is a good candidate family for my upgrade! I am getting another P5B-dlx from skullzaflare soon...

It doesn't work quite like that. You can look it up on howstuffworks.com but I'm not going to explain it. Has to do with like a combined sum average blah blah. It's 1:22AM and I can't be arsed to explain. Sorry.

Default IP35 Pro

Greetings Everyone
I have read everyones post so far so I know this is a bit off topic, however...

I'm trying to figure out what ram to put onto this thing
I'm currently debating over 1 of the 4

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145590

Preferably I would like to stick with the 2nd corsair with the 4-4-4-12 timings but I read somewhere on newegg reviews that they're junky and just overclocked :turd:

Heres what I am currently putting into this beast, I'm aiming for under 1300 with the ram

I would go with ballsitic tracers the 8500's if you can afford them, they rock. You can find them at mwave for 147$. If you wanna go cheaper the ballistic 6400 is also some good stuff and is a rebate at the egg for them which makes them like 80$

You gonna mod that mobo to fix the droop? That looks like a really nice OC, with some room for improvement still. Your getting closer to 3.8, as far as I know that is the highest a Q6600 G0 has been to for stable operation. Looks promising for sure.

Find the '1400$ intel system' thread ...CD and a few others pieced a rig together for 1200$ and some change, that has a Q6600 and a 8800GTS 640. As for RAM, the Geil Ultra's are on sale at the egg...119$ after rebate for the 2gb kit. User reviews are pretty good, some getting around 1200mhz stable.
