Use this Rosewill RCX-Z3 Cooler It's worked great for me. Temps idle 34c for cores. Max load using Prime95 is about 59-60c with the torture heat test. I love it.

get the Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme cooler

Hey guys, got my computer up and running on my new IP35pro, and I was interested in the Dual RJ45 Ethernet ports, I read somewhere that I can use them to create a small network. My router is downstairs and I am opposed to wireless so I have 1 wire running up to my room and I was interested in having two computers running up here, so I plug 1 wire from my router into my IP35pro, and then a crossover cat5e cable in the other port and plug that into another computer. I cannot get this to work though, any thoughts? thanks in advance!

I am not sure on the dual ethernet thing, though I would think that you would be able to set the second port to pass through. with that said, why not just go out and get a cheap simple "switch" I do believe they only cost 10-20 and they work rather well if you are already running a router. I would never use one without some sort of a firewall though.
__________________here is a list of them on the egg, these start off at more than I thought but they are all gigabit so your file transfers between the computers will be fast, you could go alot cheaper "less than $10" but than you are limiting yourself to 10/100 instead of 10/100/1000 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...k=&srchInDesc= Hope that helps.

Hi, everyone..
I am new and need some help.. When I overclock my IP35 Pro w/ E2140 to 3.0 GHz (375MHz, Mem 750MHz), everything was fine. But, after I installed a new cooler (Zalman 9500AT), the temp dropped ~10C, so I decided to go for more 3.2GHz (400MHz, 800). I had to set the Vcore at 1.37 (which read 1.33 in uGuru) and memory at 2.25. Then, I did the stability test with Orthos for several hours and found the system was stable with the new voltage and clock settings. However, at some point it gave me a BSOD and then it randomly gave me the ugly screen even when I browse the web. When I run it at a stock speed 1.6GHz (200MHz, 800FSB), it seems ok. But, when I run it at 3.0 GHz with the previous stable setting, it gave me BSOD and 3.2GHz as well. (it's not even taking 2.0GHz.) I may have fried the CPU, I am not sure.. But, what I don't understand is that the temp was very good.. In idle, it was 25C.. and fully loaded, it was ~45.. (at 3.0GHz). (at 3.2GHz, 32C idle, 55 fully loaded) I am going to test the system tonight to find out which part is giving me trouble by swapping different system parts. But.. I need your expert opinions to guide me through this "difficult time". ^^; (I am still new to overclocking and first time with Abit board.) Any input or suggestion will be greatly appreciated and helpful.. Thanks! Here is the spec: Abit IP35 Pro | E2140 | Ballistix 2GB 6400 | BFG 7900GS | Barracuda 2x320GB (RAID0) | Corsair 620HX Last edited by lagona : 01-07-08 at 04:01 PM |

Make sure you have the speed step crap disabled in the bios. I forget what they are called but its 2 functions you have to disable. You will have to raise the northbridge voltage(MCH in bios) and probably use a divider lower than x2 on the ram also(to keep it around stock speed). 2.25 volts for the ram seems a little high to me. You could try 2.0 or 2.1 for the ram. What are your mosfet temps(pwm in uguru) after a long prime95 session? A few of us with the IP35 have reseated the mosfet cooler to make sure it had good contact.
Feel free to send me a message on here if you really need help. I can jump on aim or yahoo messenger if you need more help so we don't have to watch this thread all the time.
