You got your SLACR in your IP35 Pro. You are raising the FSB 1MHz at a time. You reach 334Mhz and the computer isn't stable, so you increase Vcore by 1 increment. Now everything is happy and you continue to increase FSB by 1Mhz. You reach 403Mhz and now the CPU requires a slight
increase in voltage as well as the northbridge. Everything is good and you keep on going. You finally get to 468Mhz, you increase the voltage on the CPU and NB but it doesn't help. You increase it again and still, nothing. No matter what you do, no voltage will stabilize the system. So you try 474Mhz, and everything is just fine. Now you keep on going.

In that case, 468Mhz was a FSB wall. You may keep on going to find another wall at 533Mhz, perhaps impassable.

In my system, it was very clear to me that 445Mhz was an impassable wall. It was very clear as 443Mhz is stable, 444Mhz is somewhat stable, and 445Mhz will not boot with any processor no matter what.
Thanks for the input. I have not had any of the in the middle walls. The 4300 was the only one that after the bsel mod would allow a higher fsb. My 6600 would do any fsb up to 540fsb but that was it. It would do everything inbetween that. I guess phase may have something to do with some cpu's on the max fsb they can reach.

Oh well more voltage and torture to ensue.

I need some time but I will quote Pauldovi on the first post and make it more organized to include both max FSBs and max x9 FSBs...

I need to make it clear so this list can grow rapidly... and I have to update a few too....

thnaks for the info, lessons and all that jazz... this is a cool thread for me... I am learning quite a bit and figuring out what MoBo to go with...

NOTE:
I think we should spesify NB cooling... simple though jut air/water/etc... what do ya guys thunk?

525x7 will post, 500x8 and 450x9 will post and load XP before crashing at login. 450x8 is benchable, probably could be stable with tweaking.
