I'm a bit confused about the pencil mod. I understand that it is there to keep the voltage steady, but what exactly do I do? Do I litterally draw a pencil line between two points?

Between the two dots you can see on this image yes.

has anyone tried the 1503 bios yet? Any improvements to overclocking the 45nm processors?

While the concepts and voltage tolerances are the same, the bios options are not. But the NVIDIA 600 series chipset all suffer from FSB holes etc., so parts of the thread are still a good read.

I've done everything in post 1 except the vdroop mod, but im still suffering a FSB hole from 355MHz onward (I stopped testing speeds at 460MHz). The way I tested was I dropped the multi to 6x, reset all other overclocks, and started upping the FSB 25MHz at a time. Sometimes it would get half-way through posting, other times it would just black screen. At 400MHz I could post and stress test no prob, but when I tried to put the multi back to 9 (or even 8) it wouldn't post. Tried upping the Vcore and the FSB voltage but nothing helped.
Would the vdroop mod help with this massive hole I have?
