Yeah on my board i'm pretty sure if i pushed it on the stock HS i think i'd be able to manage 3.2ghz fairly easily. not bad. plenty happy at 3.0 until i get better cools for sure though.

My p182 has both an ac97 and and hd audio front panel audio jack. Which one should I plug into the blood iron front panel audio jack?

Well to my surprise I go to my eleven o clock class and come home to find a DFI MB from Tankguys awaiting me! So now I will eat my lunch and head to work, grab a case/psu and come home to have some fun! I am hoping my TRUE is waiting for me at work as well... Woot! Just checked the tracking of the TURE*Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme* and it is out for delivery, so tonight = Q6600 overclocking!!

I would also say that if you (logan) are using smart guardian to monitor temps then you are probably baking your chips. Temps are reported wayyy off with that program. Get coretemp if you haven't already.

^ very true. Smart Guardian reports all my cpu temps wrong. Only reason I use it at all is for Current Voltages to make sure everything is stable.

EDIT: Going to break down my rig, must install the Thermalright ultra 120 extreme and put together the other Blood Iron system with my E6750. I will post overclock results for both systems asap!

My Thermaltake Shark case only has AC97 connectors it they don't work on the BI. The Blood Iron is using ALC885 HD audio, I'd try the High Definition jacks first.

I am SERIOUSLY done with the board. I just got my brand new board yesterday (my second on hand now, first one had some bent pin issues). I finally get everything installed and switched out. Last night I ran prime all night at 3.5GHz without fail. Tonight after dinner I wanted to try and push a little more. At 3.8 with VID plus at 350 (~1.41 Vcore) NB at 1.45 and VTT at 1.48... running prime, shutdown without a BSOD. I was confused because until this point I have been getting them when trying to run prime at lower Vcores. Well now the rig won't power back on, so I'm starting to get frustrated. I take out my ram hit the power button to see if anything had changed and....

POOOOFFF ... spark and fire on a voltage reg chip. Luckily I was hovering over the case blew as hard as I can and hit the PSU power switch at the same time. So thats 2 BI boards I've been through and newegg hasn't even processed the first claim yet and I'm out 2 boards, $230+, and have no working computer. I don't even know if the cpu survived and probably won't until I get a new board. Crap, will newegg even replace both boards or just use the fact that I have 2 messed up boards against me?

All I want at this point is to take my $230 and put it towards a different board and be done with it all. I just want my rig to work. I'm beyond anger at this point. Just make it right!!!!!!
