I'm soon to be a new proud owner of a bloodiron, and I got some question. Can somebody measure the distance from the edge of the board(at the top) to the ram slots for me? My case has a very tight fit with it's watercooling gear, and I'm just wondering if the ram will clear the rad.

Other thing; will any NB waterblock fit this board or is it some special pattern? I'm a noob to intel, so I figured I would make sure before getting a block.

3/4" with the DIMM lock open ( when installing the RAM). 1 1/4" with the DIMM locked ( RAM installed). That's as close as I can get without disassembly.

-Update-

Name: E6750
Voltage: 1.37v
Stepping: B
Revision: G0
Core Speed: 3609.7mhz
Multiplier: x 8.0
Bus Speed: 451.2mhz
Rated FSB: 1804mhz

Memory
Frequency: 451mhz
FSB: DRAM: 1:1
CAS#Latency: 5
RAS# to CAS#Latency: 5
RAS# Precharge: 5
Cycle Time (Tras): 15

If you missed my earlier posts I had switched my E6750 for another one at work. This cpu takes 1.37v to reach 3.6ghz compared to the other at 1.53v at 3.6ghz.

The system is 100% stable over the weekend. Temps are from 46c-50c, depending on ambient temps.

Last week before I burned it in I tried 3.8ghz at 1.4-5v but temps sky rocket. I tried resetting cpu and AS5, but this cpu seems to warm up rather quickly compared to the old one. Now that I am home from snowboarding I will mess around with it a little bit. See if 3.7ghz is possible. I will post updates asap.

Yeah, this cpu is allot less voltage hungry than that other one I had. Only problem is it looks like this one is capable of higher clocks, but the heat will be an issue..

Edit: I'm at 3.7ghz with a 1.39v... I'm gonna push toward 3.8ghz tonight. With that .02v increase though it raised my temps 4c. That normal?

I am thinking of getting a DFI blood iron tomorrow. Does the Tuniq Tower fit in this board? Also, what the best ddr2 ram for this board? Thanks.

Lapping it might help with the temps.....just a thought. Got me a 2-3C drop.

Yes, the Tuniq fits. Crucial Ballistix are what a lot of people are using, but I can't think of any RAM that wouldn't work well with the board.
