Default The DFI Blood Iron Thread

I finally received my board today and can't wait to get started.

I figured that a thread covering any and all info regarding this board
is necessary, esp. since information is scattered amongst many threads.

As soon as I start my work on the DFI BI, I am going to start posting results.
Let's see how far we can go.

So to all the Blood Iron users, please share your experiences, benchmarks, settings, etc.

EDIT: Post #19 has my first screenie with my first shot at overclocking.

I have the Blood Iron for awhile. assembling a system for a friend. Seems to work great. Current config is E6750,2Gb OCZ1066,XFX8600GT,WD320 SATA2 HDD. OC's very well. The only odd thing, is that XPpro loads unusally slow(50 secs.). Do not know why at this point. Once the OS loads, it is a quick machine.

Well, I got the board setup and loaded vista. My initial reaction was that the board is actually smaller than I thought it would be. It seems to not be as wide as a typical ATX board. It isn't in its final resting place (a case) nor does it have the final cooling setup (water). I was able to get 500FSB out of the box. No problem. I haven't been able to do much more since I haven't had the time. Pictures will come along as time permits. So far so good.

I need to see the temps of the board north and south cooling.

Im trying to get a Board to toss a 2180 into and this is getting close to my choice, but i DO NOT want to be forced to replacestock cooling on the board

I will try to keep that in mind when I get to play a bit more with the system.

Actually it seems that the sticker comes off relatively easily. but I haven't tried yet. I just wanted to get it up and running. And I don't have my watercooling setup yet. I am missing a CPU block and a NB block. But I will see what the board can do with a CM geminII cooler.
