I can boot Vista at 4.2ghz but it is barely stable, still may be attainable I just haven't messed with it much.

I was able to reach 3.6 on my Q6600 on this board at 1.5V in BIOS 1.45V in CPUZ and Speedfan. I also did the pencil mod. Fun stuff. I'll OC again and validate when I'm not feeling so damn lazy. So far, I like this board.

In addition, I've replaced the TIMs on the SB and NB when I replaced the NB cooler with the Swiftech MCW30. Oh, and I've replaced the MOSFET cooler in the rear with one from Thermalright.

Hey Jack, the picture you included doesn't include the MOSFET cooler on the right side of the board. Is that accurate? Mine actually came with one. Looks like Asus finally replaced the crappy greyish TIM with a sticky black one that actually makes good contact with the VRMs.

One complaint about this board is that the SATA ports are placed awkwardly since larger vga cards like the GTX almost completely covers the ports. Awkward yes, but everything fits.

BTW, thanks for starting up this thread

just as a reminder, the pic you have on the first post is the P5K-E WiFi/AP, the P5K-E doesn't have a heatpipe and has an extra heatsink on the top most mosfets

Don't flame me too much, I haven't finished putting the case together but here's a pic of the plain P5K-E

SATA port position stinks. My heatpipe is dead out of the box. So, I put a fan on the NB sink. Other than that. I'm lapping my quad and putting a new heatsink on this weekend. I hope to get to a cool/stable 3.6 with an OCZ Vindicator.

Can't seem to find a picture of the non-wifi version.

In the UK the standard P5K-E seems to be quite rare, can't find it on many online retailers. So I put that picture from scan.co.uk on there.

If anyone has a suitable image for the first post feel free to link me.
