Total overclocking newbie alert!!
__________________I have recently bought this board and paired it with an E5200 and 4GB of OCZ 800mhz RAM It shows as a multiplier of 9 when I think it should be 12.5..I have checked this in cpuz and it throttles in windows to a multiplier of 6 Do I need to perform a BIOS update to solve this issue before I attempt an overclock? Thanks in advance for any replies.

Have you turned off C1E and Speedstep and all those power saving options? If not, then do that. It'll stop the throttling and such.
As for the multi, have you tried changing it manually?

I went into Device Manager, and saw that all my "USB Root Hubs" were errored out. I selected one, chose to install a new driver, chose to select from a list, selected the only option and BAM, all better.

And the multiplier says enter values up to 12..how can I enter 12.5 And also..my 3dmark 06 scores are ridiculously low..down in the 7 thousands when I know it should be a lot lot more for the spec. (Latest ATI driver...card overclocked, chipsert drivers loaded from the disk that came with the MOBO)

First thing's first, go to you User CP, and fill out your system spec so we know what else we're dealing with?
Secondly, the Speedstep options.. ![]() Under the "CPU Feature" i think, should be all the related options. Don't hold me to this as i'm not 100% sure it's the right menu. If it IS, it will have C1E (Sppedstep iirc) and about 5 others. Turn all of these OFF. Disable them, and your CPU will run at full kilt all the time.
