This board is so worth the few extra bucks over the BI. I had one which died due to overheated fets. The addition of the sinks should fix the problem now. I also love the pwr/rst buttons on the board, as I'm tired of shorting pins. Not to mention the black pcb...My pc finally matches now! I say this board is worth every dollar.

The only thing that I hate about DFI is if you remove the NB it voids the warranty, I would but I have no jobz or much money. Though can't you remove the SB without voiding?

You can remove the SB sink without voiding anything. Tho it's a bit pointless as it doesn't really need extra cooling. The NB is another story. I removed the sink on my BI, and then the fets overheated and the board died. I replaced the sink, and sent it off to the egg. It was accepted without any questions, tho going through DFI might have been a different story.

Gotcha, I purchased the Dark p35 and it states I got 1year replacement, so I'll look into the Thermalright's Heatsinks.

Edit: I think its just dumb you think DFI making boards good for overclocking would think "Oh the NB temps get pretty toasty we should let them use aftermarket ones"

yea I noticed the 1 year thing. Quite frankly it pisses me off, as I got it through Motherboardpro.com It took them over a week to get it to me, and I have no idea about any replacements... Damn you newegg, for getting it up late and making me pull the trigger from this store.

I know haha, I'm so glad that I waited. How does the SB due with heat(blood iron or dark)? Not planning on doing an aftermarket hs with it, maybe just remove the stock thermal crud and use some MX-2 or ceramique on it.

I never checked the temps, but it shouldn't be too high. It's hot to the touch, but nothing too extreme.

I was pretty sure removing NB/SB heatinks voids warranty on any mobos as manufacturers love putting sticker there

I wanted to make my own Thermalright High Risers. Hopefully they eventually give in and put no more stickers.
