I loaded the new bios and took 2 sticks of ram out and decided to push this baby and see what she could do. This is what I came up with. I easily got up to 4.5ghz with only 1.4v. I was able to push the ram to 1200mhz (this is ddr2 800 D9GMH).

It sux that I can't hit this high with all 4 sticks of ram in the system. The highest I can run the ram stable is 920mhz or so with all 4 sticks. I've tried all different kinds of timings and high volts and it's just a no go. If anybody has a suggestion please let me know.

I guess I'll end up selling this ram and getting 4gb 2x2. I'd want atleast 1066 and my budget would be around $120. Anybody have any suggestions on good ram that would fall within those guidelines?

Yeah it does fine with G.Skill. I'm using DDR2 800 running at DDR2 900. I'm probably going to get a 4GB (2x2) 1066 kit in a few weeks though.

I have that RAM in my system right now running at DDR2 900 with 5-5-5-15 2T timings. I've heard they will do DDR2 1000 speeds. I haven't tried it though as I have my ram running at 1:1 and I'm at my max oc for my cooling. I could drop my multi and try to get them higher but I'm happy with what I have them at now. Plus I'm just lazy and don't want to go through another 14hrs of stability testing.

EDIT: I only have 2 sticks so I cant speak to the capabilities of 4.

Before my Ram died, I could run DDR2 850 with 5-5-5-15 2T timings with all 4 slots used. If I tried 4-4-4-12 2T with the ram overclocked, it would BSOD before windows loaded. I actually had it run windows for a while at DDR2 1030 5-5-5-15 2T with all 4 slots used, but it wasn't 100% stable.

when a board is capable of OCing a quad core better than an asus or abit i think those that wanna push there proc's will move to something that can and this board has proven that one reason why this thread has grown.
