You should be OK. Especially with the Q6600 being so popular. I doubt there is much of the old stock left.

I came in on the same ship as you. (AMD) Here's a good place to start:
http://www.csd.dficlub.org/forum/index.php

Once you understand the DFI bios, it's easier. I came from a AM2 DFI board and there were still a few bios features that I wasn't sure about. Like VID special add......I saw that and said "wth does that mean?!" As you know, there's a TON of bios options, but not all of them are required for oc'ing. For reference, I'm @ 3.2 (400*8) with 1.39 volts (1.325 VID), ram 1:1; 51C folding temp. <----just because I wish I had someone tell me a little something when I jumped in! gl hf

can anyone tell me if the ZALMAN CNPS9700 LED 110mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler is a good solution for this motherboard? of course i have read the TRUE or Tuniq Tower are great but will they fit over the northbridge or in the CM690 im thinking of getting, or would it be worth it to shell out a bit more for the antec 900? to add, i will be running a e2160 for a month or so or until an e8400 becomes available. prob won't mess with a quad ever.
