I've tried a few different sticks of DDR2 and none worked, although I just tested all of them a few weeks ago to see if they worked, and they all did. Everything is known to work except my new parts: Mobo (DFI DK P35-T2RS), CPU (E8400), and HDD (Seagate 250GB SataII 16mb cache). I'm almost positive that the CPU works, and I'm confident in the mobo, but not certain.

At first my ram was at 5-5-5-15 - 1066 instead of it's 4-4-4-12 - 800 stock, but that's really not an overclock. The later installs (using legal Windows) were all tested at stock setting though.

Would I have to buy different ram for this board or is what I have fine? (see system)

Thanks dude, just need to lose that orange SATA lead and i'll be sorted.

I'd also like to say that i had a DOA board first time round. And that i bought a 512 stick of 667 ram to double check the board with, which never worked.

My working board however booted straight up with ddr2 800, so MosIncredible, you should be fine with your ram as it stands.

Since the E3110 has a lower voltage range than the E8400, what is the max voltage I should be using for that proc? I have seen people getting 4005MHz with the E3110 at 1.33v (1.36v inthe BIOS)

You should be fine as long as you don't have more than 1.36v actually getting to the CPU.

EDIT: After some more research I'm not sure either. What I said above was based on the fact that the specs for the E8400 and Xeon E3110 are exactly the same. However, I didn't realize the voltage specs are different. They are actually lower for the Xeon.

I don't see why it wouldn't. I've heard so many good things about G.Skill's that I am tempted to get a 1gig PC6400 set.
