Hey.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I recently picked up one of these boards. I've got a Q6600 and 2x 2GB OCZ 800MHz RAM, and I can't get any of these settings to work. If i try and overclock the board at all, even with the AI 20% overclock, it will boot into windows for around 30 seconds, and then reboot.

Am I missing something here? I've got a waterblock on the CPU and the optional fan on the chipset, so I'm not overheating.

Just a note - My last board, P5N32-E SLI did exactly the same thing. It's not my chip either, because I've tried it with a Xeon X3220 which is essentially the same chip, and that can't cope either.

I am new to overclocking, so if there's some silly step that I've missed, or some option I need to turn on/off on the CPU, I'd appreciate the heads up.

Thanks.
-Dave

Alot of Q6600 users posted their settings on this page:

http://www.overclock.net/intel-mothe...overclock.html

Also on the first page, OP listed a few settings for you to use as a reference to work with.

Hi guys,

need some help over here!
Got one P5N-D and I'm getting 2 9800GTX+ dual slot cards for use in it (SLI).
I've been reading all over the net that dual slot cards barely fit inside. Is this true? Also that some SATA connectors are lost because of the 2nd card size.

Thanks in advance.

hey guys i have this board and its a PIECE of **** I cant get the audio to work no matter what version of windows I use as well as linux! thats not even the main issue! I cant see to get the heatsink to mount correctly on the chip and my Q8200 is running at 80C!

Ive updated to the newest bios too as well as bought a new heatsink (aftermarket).

I do have a question tho. I have 1 9800GTX+ in now and I will order another one soon as long as the CPU is chilled but how many SATA connections are lost? I see that the card will most likely go over top of the SATA connections?

Can anyone help me with this?

Question First Self Built

Need some advice for first time OC'ing... But first...

Viper-H... Your problem is that you can't use the auto AI overclock... It sets your RAM voltage to stock... Which is too low for OCZ RAM... That's why you will always get the BSOD.

Now for me... I have the E6420 65 nm 4MB L2 2.13 GHz 1066 MHz... Intel lists the Core Voltage as 0.85V-1.5V.

Would someone please recommend settings for me? (My max multiplier is 8 I believe)

Much appreciated.
