Hi guys,
__________________I had just finished building my system today. I had overclock my Q6600 @ 3420 with (380*9) and DDR2 1012 (5-5-5-15). The timing for the RAM is stock since the OCZ Platinum PC 8000 had (5-5-5-15) but only has EVP 2.15v. My CPU VOLTAGE: 1.40v My DRAM VOLT: 2.14v CPU Spread: Disabled PCIe Spread: Disabled The rest are all auto What do u guys think??? Is it safe??

(400*9)=3.6GHz DDR2/800 4-4-4-12 @ 2.00V(the maximus tends to OV the dimms) Re-bench and compare the results.

Hi guys.
__________________Previously I had OC my Q6600 to 3.42Ghz.. Right now I am @ 3.6Ghz and had ran Prime 95 for 6hours and 30 minutes.. Is this Long enough?? I have an issue.. With 3.42Ghz my ram is @ DDR2 1012. But with 3.6Ghz my ram is only DDR2 960.. DRAM voltage is set at 2.14v and timings are 5-5-5-15.. My ram is OCZ Platinum PC 8000 (DDR 1000) @ 5-5-5-15.. This is weird to know that my RAM is unable to go to its own stock speed.. I had apparently only messed with these settings: CPU Voltage: 1.50v (but CPU-Z only see it at 1.448v) DRAM: 2.14v (but ASUS Probe see it at 2.19v?????CRAZY) CPU SPread Spectrum: Disabled PCIE Spread Spectrum: Disabled The other settings are all AUTO.. Can you guys tell me how to obtain my RAM Stock speed?? I tried to up the voltage to 2.2v at the BIOS but I keep on getting the "DET DRAM" at my LCD Poster.. Weird?? Thx

You basically have to play with your FSB. For example, if your FSB were at 250 or 500 (some multiple of 1000), you'll see an option for DDR2-1000. I'm running at 333 FSB I think, and I have my RAM set at like DDR2-1002 at the moment.

Even at my setting (400*9), I can see the option to set my RAM @ DDR2 1003. Whenever I choose that option, no matter what I did will never give me a successful post.. This is very weird.. My RAM stock speed is DDR2 1000 btw..

No way man, it has to be something else. I've deactivated the J MIcron controller on another board and it said this, but never with a different FSB. I have run different FSBs many times while testing memory OCs and never had this............

Set your DIMMs max voltage. Set a decent high NBV, which should be at least 1.55V. I run 1.63V for my settings, and my NB temps never go over 50C. This chipset can take an insane amount of voltage.........and the MCH needs it. I'm assuming that you are stable at 3.6, so this: FSB 400 FSB Strap auto DRAM frequency (should have DDR2-1066 as an option....I thinK) NBV 1.55V Check your tRFC for your DIMMs SPD......if it says 52 then you need to leave that as auto. If not, then set it to 42 for now. Set DDR2 Controller Ref voltage to DDR2_REF IMO the fastest way to test your memory stability is with SuperPi 32M. This will error out faster than Prime95 from my experiences.........this will save you some time. Here's a little memory bench.....this is what I came up with after some tweaking.
