In the second picture down, there is a bag laying beneath the keyboard. The picture depicts somethings familiar to the 680i SLI. One you have to get the A1 version to get the book, two the SLI bridge was included in yours like it should be. I got jacked and had to call in the missing part into EVGA. The most noticeable similarity is that little black cardboard box. It contains a tiny POS fan exactly like the one on the 680i sli. I would recommend an after market cooling solution

I certainly would have gone 790i if DDR3 wasn't so expensive.

4GB DDR2 > 2GB DDR3 imho.

I hear ya...paying more for Ram than a cpu is strange.

Think I'll try these to start with.

http://www.memory-configurator.co.uk...kit/index.html
1800MHz DDR3 memory kit from CellShock. Currently the fastest DDR3 in the world. Check out the reviews of this kit. Two matched 1GB DDR3 modules, rated CL8 (8-7-6-21), 1.7-1.9V, 240 pins. PC3-14400 memory kit.

seem to go well...

Other than being out of stock, these don't look bad.

be carful, make DAM sure its SLI ready ram or that board can't handle over 1333 ddr3 ram. I have this board on the way and got OCZ reaper 2 gig 1333 ddre3 ram 180$ (plus 30$ mail in rebate). I wanted to go faster ram but could not find resanabley priced sli ready ram which has EPP2 I believe. Figure in a year I will grab 4 gigs of this sli ram stuff at 2000mhz when the price is cheeper then a brand new system

This is taken form the EVGA 790i manual

"Supports dual channel DDR3 800/1066/1333, and up to 2000 MHz SLIReady
Memory. Supports up to 8 GBs DDR3 memory."

Here is reaper ram oh the way for me
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820227292

Here is a example of the sli ram.

How much better is the overclocking compared to the 780i?

Wow that's pricey Ram Nuke!

Good to see another 790i owner.

So I would ask why you're going for the fastest RAM out when the speed of the ram is the least likely thing you will see a performance gain on? I'm by far not saying you won't see a performance increase I just don't think it will be a huge one. I would save your money and go for a middle performer and then in a couple months when the price settles or they come out with a way to make it even faster then make that big purchase. I know quite a few people did some tests with it. I'll have to go find them.

Edit: Just a few reviews...
