All voltages are set to auto, except vcore, vdimm, and NB.

However, when I get time I will tweak the GTL settings.
It's taking a bit more vcore than it took on my P5K for 450*8.
Ah very nice... Does you board signifcantly overvolt vCORE compared to what it's set at in the BIOS? Somehow 1.225 CPU VID + CPU vid special add Auto = 1.248V or 1.264V in CPU-Z it jumps between those 2 Vs...

I get 1.44v in Windows, bios is 1.4185v. That's with special add auto and vdamp.
I'm really impressed with the NB, first board I've had that needed < 1.35v for 450 fsb.

Screen of my current settings, been F@H for about a week now.

Yeah the NB is ridiculous... I'm on the 266(1066) strap with 333FSB and ~1.25V NB, 400FSB 266(1066) strap ~1.3V NB.

This mobo, while quirky/finicky at times, is probably the best I've owned to date.

I agree but it's figuring out the quirks that makes it frustrating. My board also overvolts the Vcore significantly. I set my special add to the lowest setting. Chunk recommends this so you won't have anything left on auto to affect your Vcore.

1050ish mhz 5-5-5-12 2.1v. I'm at work right now and don't remember exactly but it's close to that. I haven't really pushed them that hard cause i've been trying to concentrate on getting the CPU stable a the highest speed possible. 3.4ghz is easy but much over that and I have to really crank the Vcore up. That puts me into the high 70s for temps. I'd be happy to get it completely stable at 3.5ghz (10x350) but that is proving to be harder than I expected with this chip on air. I may just have to bite the bullet and put it under water.

Question

hi guys, i'm preparing for my new build and this is one of the board i'm considering. i'm looking to o/c a e8400 to its MAX, with a pair of Corsair TWIN2X2048-8500C5DF and on my existing nautilus watercooler.

my questions are:

  • will this board be the bottleneck of my overclock?
  • are there better alternatives in terms of better o/c boards on the market?

note:
i don't plan to run dual graphic cards
i plan to use DDR2 RAM
i can't get my hands on the DFI DK P35 boards

thank you for ur help in advance
