I received my LT X48-T2R on Wednesday, but I barely had enough time to install it. I have just finally found enough time to start playing around.
Wow! It is amazing. The board is rock solid, the layout amazing. There are jumpers all over the board to do everything imaginable, including setting your FSB. The BIOS is extensive, with most of the settings confusing me at to what they do! I set my computer to 1.2700V (stock), 333Mhz FSB (3.00Ghz), memory to 2.00V (1.80V Stock), memory speed to 800Mhz (800Mhz stock), and memory timings to 4-4-4-12 (5-5-5-15 stock). It booted into Windows and ran, but it was slow and clearly unstable. I increased CPU voltage to 1.2825V (1 increment) and I am now about 60 minutes stable on 5 instances of Orthos (2 Small FFTs, 2 Blend, 1 Large FFT). Tomorrow I am going to stability 370Mhz FSB (3.33Ghz) and hopefully go to 400Mhz FSB (3.60Ghz). I am going to keep motherboard voltages stock because this is suppose to support 1600Mhz FSB default. I am going to try and keep CPU voltage below 1.3335V (5% over stock). Great board so far!

Any updates?
Mine will be here on Tuesday, starting to worry about the nb cooler not allowing for my Ultra Extreme to fit. Any thoughts after seeing the board first hand?

What I can say is this:
This board is definitely not plug and play like ASUS or Gigabyte boards. It requires a lot of work to get it stable and overclocking. BIOS options are extensive and confusing, with no explanations for the options. This board is going to take quite a bit of time to get used to, get stable, and then overclock. Unfortunately, I don't really have that kind of time. ![]() I did have a fairly easy time getting my board up to 370 x 9 (3.33Ghz) keeping most settings stock. However I did a little reading and found that to really get it optimized for performance and stability it requires a lot of tweaking of the various settings. Right now I am running at all stock settings on the motherboard, trying to fix a stability issue I seem to be having with my video card. I can run Orthos for 1 hour (using all 4 cores at 100% and memory use 4GB). Then when I start up Windows Experience Index or ATI Tool I get a crash within a few seconds. No BSOD, just a loss of video. I have tried changing my video drivers and underclocking my video card but that hasn't worked yet. CPUz doesn't play nice with this board. In fact, I have crashed several times upon opening CPUz. I think this is a good board, perhaps more than I have time to handle though.

Mmmmm loving this board.
370Mhz x 9 = 3.33Ghz @ 1.2700V. 4GB memory at DDR2-888 5-4-4-12 2.000V (stock DRR2-800 CL5-5-5-15 1.8V) All stock motherboard settings and voltages, all stock memory tweaks (so far). 100% stable.

I had the same experience going to 3.3ghz on my processor but going further is requiring some tweaking. Not knowing all the uses of the settings, it's a little daunting. Mine posts and runs Everest Ultimate stability test fine but OCCT crashes within 10sec. OCCT ran fine at 3.3 though. Not sure if it's a GTL problem or something else. Increasing the Vcore, NB, and CPU VTT does nothing to get OCCT to run. My temps are amazingly low given they would skyrocket on my 680i board at just 3.2ghz.

I crashed 1 of my 5 orthos running after 15 minutes. Didn't crash the computer, just the orthos detected a problem. Not sure if it is memory or CPU based issue. I may try increasing the Vcore... 1.2700V is nice a low.

Do you have any 45nm CPUs .. DFI have really struggled with earlier Quads, Duals were relatively OK but they seem to focus on what CPUs are coming rather than was has been..
