^ The latest I would assume, because of the fix for kentsfield stability.

BTW, I just ordered the 750i, I hope I won't regret it...

I still need to flash to that... Except I am above the hole at 450FSB... so not sure if it would help me.... Although perhaps it could get me to 4GHz

Also.. Just updated the main post with some more useful links (reviews, retailers, and vdroop pencil mod)

hello everybody! I was wondering if you guys could help me out, I can't for the life of me get a stable 3.6 gz with my G0 Q6600.. my CPU/RAM is identical to Microsis and I've tried his settings, and while it boots, it doesn't last long in the Prime95 small FFT test.. The system either reboots or freezes. I've tried upping voltage and lowering FSB but it still seems to flake.

Do you guys have any ideas on what I can do to increase stability?

also: how important is it to maintain a 1:1 fsb/mem ratio?

Chris - I have found that rebooting is almost always a sign of more Vcore needed.

How high have you tried?

If you could post all of your BIOS settings here we could help you out more.

The 1:1 ratio isnt that impt, but unless I am benching I find the best real world performance is found at the 1:1 ratio.

I don't know if i should update it to sz17...

Would it give me any clock increase with my xeon chip ?

Is the update only includes the fix for the kentsfield cores.

give us your specs... RAM, voltages, timings, etc... so we can see what we are dealing with here.

You can update them in your signature, too, if you want. that way everyone can see your system
