so you are at 9x400 and stable? what is your RAM speed and timings?

Also try stress with this: http://www.ocbase.com/perestroika_en/index.php?Download

If you pass after 2 hours of OCCT cpu test, then you *should* be stable.

Hi. This is my first time overclocking and I've read most of the noob guides out there. I OC'd my Q6600 to 3.2 and it's running stable. I have a question about CPU-Z though. Why does the core speed sometimes jump from 3200 x 8 to 2400 x 6. When it's on idle I see it at 2400 x 6. Is that normal?

Turn speedstep off and your multiplier will stay the same.

Speedstep was disabled but the other 3 options below that were not. I disabled it and it looks like the multiplier is staying at 8.

Thanks.

Hi, I just got a eVGA 750i FTW and I am loving it!

I currently have a e8400 and 2*Xfx 8800gt XXX in SLi and it is just screaming

Using Thermaltake DuOrbs on the 8800Gt's blocks all but one pci slot. However, I need to fit both a pci sound card and a pci wifi card.

I have been looking into switching over to the Thermalright HR-03 GTs.

Does anyone know if it will fit when "wrapped around" the card? I am concerned that it will hit the gigantic chipset cooler.

BTW, I am going to overclock soon. 4.0 Ghz here I come!

Hey... SLI + PCI cards = bad idea on this motherboard. I used to have 2 8800GTX and a PCI sound card and the card TOTALLY blocked all airflow to the top card, to the point where it was overheating often. Replaced my middle sound card with a PCIexpress one in the top slot and no problem.

Bump!

Anyone else?

HR-03 GT compatible with 750i FTW when on the back of the card?

Looks a little close.

Personally, I don't like the NB cooler design on these boards. Blows a lot of HOT air on your top video card. In your case it would be blowing the air thru your GPU heatsink. You could also replace the NB and SB heatsinks, but buying a PCIe x1 sound card would be a cheap solution.
