I figured as much. Well its a decent chip so far, SLACR G0 Q6600 1.2875VID is just cruising along up to 3.15ghz @ 1.3125vcore. 58c peak load under small FFTs.

thats a nice vid i'm interested to see what you can get out of that chip. (and of course your spreadsheet will make it that much sweeter!)

Gonna try that later, right now I am testing @ 1450FSB for full stability, so far so good except the stupid SPP is 66c. I have a good fan on it as well as the AC blasting. Vcore is a little high, as well as SPP and FSB voltages, but I want stability more than I want lower temps, so I have to take the good with the bad. I will try 1600FSB tonight before retiring for the evening.

have you tried reseating the mobo heatsink with some good tim? the stuff on there from the factory is some real junky thermal pad or something (except for the mosfets which had some special pad on them that i just left on there). i used as5 and my spp never goes above 58*C.

I could try that definitely. I didnt think it was possible, is the heatsink pretty easy to remove?

Alright. Update. Getting it to boot into windows (or close, sometimes) at 1600FSB. However, when loading it, the PC restarts. Temps are good. Vcore is a solid 1.45v for 3.6ghz (Grunion claimed he only needed 1.42-1.44v for 3.6ghz) and SPP/FSB are 1.55v. Ram is at default 800mhz 5-5-5-15.

I am used to seeing BSODS, lockups, and core fails, but not a full restart. What does this mean? I would hate to think it was a lack of power. I have the proper 8-pin CPU power connector from my HX620.

Load temps (for the second or two it lasts) are in the low 60s.

yeah its just 6 screws. at first it may feel like it doesn't want to come up but just gently pry up on the nb part of the heatsink and it should come up. the mosfets will have some clear lube/gel like stuff on them and the rubber like pad used as a tim, just leave that as it is as it doesn't fall apart(and putting tim on all of the mosfets would be a pain). then clean off the other parts of the heatsink and the spp, nf200, and mch(sb) off with some rubbing alcohol and q-tips. then add a dab of your choice of tim on the spp, nf200 and mch. then reapply the the heatsink. its really not to bad and i did notice a 5-8*C differnce in my spp temps.

Alright I will take care of that asap.

Right now, testing 1560FSB, 1.4625vcore, ugh. I wish I had a UD3P :/
