Well i officially hate this board. It has been nothing but problems since I got it. Couldn't update the BIOS cause vista won't recognize my DVD drive, or floppy drive, or USB thumb drive. Tons of data corruption. Constant blue screens. Found out the other day (right before it died) that the other slot for SLI didn't work. Yesterday it blue screened (for about the 9th time of the day) and I went to restart. Nothing. Will not get past post. Would not let me OC my card, or my RAM, or my CPU. I am hoping I just got a really really bad board. I am going to RMA it on Monday. Hope nobody else has to go through what I went through. `Any idea what could have cuased all this? Bad BIOS chip, bad capacitors?

Sounds like you just got a lemon. Really sorry to hear that. Hopefully the RMA will take care of it.

E175_SZ1E Bios Here thats the latest beta bios and should have the fix for it...

I recall an issue with this board and SP3 not recognizing multi cores.... Not sure if it was resolved with the later that SZ17 released bios...

You may want to browse around on The EVGA Forums 750i Page for solutions if its not resolved with latest beta bios
Just a update on this. I reformatted and so far all 4 cores are where there supposed to be :-) . Havent installed sp3 yet...maybee I wont

i've had a hand full of BSOD also. Not sure what to contribute them to yet. It's not as good OC'r as I would have hoped... I get errors at 4.0GHz on e8400, and thats pretty standard for this cpu.

As for the OC Id say check it in a diff board, if you havent already. I have seen many E8400 recently not doing 4.0 without 1.4v which is well past spec...

The only time I get BSOD is when Ive passed my OC limit. Or when playing a DivX file thru wmp, but I had that problem with diff mobo and Vista64.. 64 bit OS and 32bit software sometimes has compatability problems.

@DADBBAD.... Id hold off on the SP3.... If I recall its the problem with the 750i and multi core....

Anyone able to confirm???

That is . . . well I wouldn't suggest that. Some E8400's have died at that voltage. IIRC 1.36 is the mx.

10acjed,

does it happen when you first load it up? My WMP11 crash when (1) it first loads up, (2) scrolling, (3) after it's paused.
