@ DK ...... in the bios page where clock freq - system voltag etc. is you will see a thing on the bottom to "save" save as profile 1.. Press F10 to save and exit..

Also in Advanced Bios>CPU Feature - Disable Speedstep & C1E

PS: Anyone else notice this board runs real hot? Everest shows 82c.... Ouch... anyone got a marshmellow?

But

I just fried a vid card...

Im real gun shy at the moment... Wondering if its my PSU.. I dont have a tester, have to pick one up tomorrow...

I was doing some graphics stability testing with FurMark and came in to find my pc shut down... wouldnt power up at all... open the side and smelled the worst thing an enthusiast could smell... I almost cried....

Pics attached of my findings... thats a heatsink from my older 8800GT... and yes that is a piece of the mem it was cooling still stuck to it....The new one I got yesterday is fine..

Just dont wana do it again... I was lucky enough to be able to shell out the $ for a new one, gona see how my 1yr warranty holds up on it since its supposedly covered.
Aww man. Hope that gets fixed. I read somewhere that increasing teh PCIe doesn't do much but can cause damage to the video cards. Hope that gets fixed.

really depends on the cpu... if its just the motherboard holding you back then yes this board OC's very well...

I was stuck at 3.2 on my p965-s3 and able to get to 3.4 with this board, could surely do 3.6 but I dont like my volts past 1.5...

Its a very solid SLI board... had 13181 3dmark06 with Q6600 @ 3.24 and 1 8800gt, now have 17190 with 2 8800gt's and Q6600 @ 3.4..

I like it...

I hit 3DMark06 scores 1000 points higher on this board than on the P5N-D. Now granted this is not a 24/7 overclock just a bench run but all in all not bad.

10acjed,
Have you done any studies on using push/pull with your TRUE 120 versus using just push, I am about to order one today and contemplating the dual fan, although I have two 80mm fans immediately behind the CPU on the chassis.

depends on your front fan doing the push... my secondary is just the one that was originally directly behind it on the case. My front fan is the good one, i got 2-3c drop in load temps by putting it on the true rather than the case, and tried reversing them and it bumped my temps up 5c+ under load, so the push fan is the important one.. My advice is to get a good 120 for push, then a cheapo for the pull, it really just helps out. I also have a 140mm fan on my PSU pulling air up about 1/2" above it.

if your on a tight budget, dont worry about it for now.
