A little insight on the F1 to continue or DEL to enter setup. I have a floppy installed but it is far down the list on boot devices. I have noticed lately when I have left my jumpdrive<s> in the usb socket<s> is when it has been prompting me for the F1 and DEL options in BIOS

its reading a device or setting change from previous settings that hasnt been saved.
The save profile 1 option always gets rid of it...

I'm running in circles debating if I should pick up this board or not, however, it would be sweet to have the option to pick up another 8800 down the road, or if I come across a good deal.

Before I buy, I already know it can handle the Q9450 to at least where I'm at now, but my quesitons:

1.) Have they got the raid issues fixed? I heard they did but wanting to verify from someone here.

2.) Is there any other issues that I should be aware of?

AFAIK the raid problem is fixed with bios update... check out forums.evga for reassurance...

And XP SP3 is still having some sort of issue, but I see your using Vista 64... Its pretty sweet on my system, however I dont use RAID so I cant say for sure....

I did the pencil mod. It took like 30 secs


Just shade the resistor the blue arrow pointing with a #2 pencil.

No more vdroop at load

Yea, it's pretty easy.


Here is an update after vdroop mod.
My voltage is kinda high but load temps are 45C for both cores. So It's alright.

Voltages
CPU Core: 1.424v
CPU FSB: 1.4v
Mem: 2.1v
SPP: 1.5v

ORTHOS 1 hour and 17 mins stable, no errors.
