EVGA 750i FTW Overclock Thread

Hey ive got a problem. I went through the bios to set the memory to 1066 manually. I rebooted, and it only shows it as 517mhz... a few mhz short of 533. Some have said it was a memory divider, but everything is unlinked and i manually set everything. Any suggestions?

When you run unlinked what it does is find the next divider by lowering the RAM FSB until it matchs the next working divider.

What you see is normal.

So how do I make it run at 1066mhz?

What exactly is the graphics glitch are you getting?

*EDIT* Just did pencil mod... Did nothing for me Still takes 1.48125 to get to 1.43/1.400 under load

well I guess I got a bad board erghhhhh,it will only go to the post screen and when it goes to load windows it freezes and says windows error,I put my hard drive in my other pc and windows booted up fine.....ughhh *** at my luck lately

You will prbly need to raise your CPU FSB a little.

About 1 out of 5 motherboards will be DOA on arrival. Doesn't really matter who you order it from.

you gotta raise or lower the FSB speed till u find a whole number divider, however, in many peopel opinions its better to just run the ram linked and synced and leave it at that, if u got a good cooler read the first post at the bottom, worked like a charm for me

dammmn, not bad not bad, u only shaded the one resistor with the blue arrow pointing to it in the pic right mic? can't wait to try this on my rig, unfortunately i ain't takin the thing out of the damn case so might be a lil tricky.
