The pencil mod works great, I have to set 1.48v to get 1.472v within windows, it doesn't drop under load either, if you shade it to much though the vdroop is actualy reversed and increases under load...

EDIT: Couldn't find this at first but this explains the GTLREF voltages, they don't make much difference for alot off people but I couldn't get 3.4ghz without bumping them...

Thanks for this thread, it helped me take a leap at OC'ing. I've been messing with it and running Prime95 for stability testings and it's been going well except I've been running a little hot so I ordered a CPU cooler. After I get that installed and make sure I'm stable I'll post my settings.

Intel spec is 72c max on the cores. I dont like too run it past 65c.

This is load temp, so run a program like OCCT or Prime to stress all 4 cores, as long as it doesnt lock up or error, and the temp stays below 65 on all 4 cores your safe...

Default Thanks !! Great thread

I want to give props to the op for this thread. It really helped me when starting out. This is my first rig and first time oc. After checking out the q6600 club however and seeing all those amazing results. I might start tinkering again to see if I can improve. I know there's room for improvement.
