Default 780i cooler mounting idea

It may seem confusing but I will try to explain it. The red bracket is on top of one HR-05 that has a hole drilled onto the base. it will be screwed on to keep the cooler stable. The red also goes on top of the other HR-05.

The blue goes on the other way to support the red bracket and put more pressure on the HR-05 for the 780i.

The green might be where the two brackets are connected.

That Nforce 200 chipset should not get that hot so maybe you can use this for it, I think, it´s good for GPU RAM so why not good enough for that 200 chipset.

http://www.enzotechnology.com/bmr_c1.htm

And use HR-05 for Nforce 780i with the blue mounting position

What do you think?

The thing is, I heard the Nforce 200 gets very hot when SLi is used, so I don't think a GPU RAM heat sink will work.

Yes maybe you are right, two of the PCIe 1x16 go throu that Nforce 200 but only one should be in use with your 8800GT the other one go throu MCP and that second in Nforce 200 are for 3 SLI.

Here´s another way to go.

I sent them an e-mail and got this response. I sent them another e-mail.

---,

The 780i has a larger chipset that is not compatible with our products.

I have been hearing that Thermalright has a 780i cooler in the works that will cover both the NB and the nForce200 chipset. I am wondering if this is true, and if so, is there a set release date?
