No problem fitting TT120 after a custom sawzaw cut to each side of the bracket lol

Just caught me off guard and wasn't ready to have issues.

So far I'm at 3.9GHz again at just about the same settings as I used with my DFI board. But I noticed with and with out LLC the vcore was a about .025 below what I had it set to in the bios. But with LLC on under load it stays at that vcore and doesn't drop any more, that's kinda nice.

So I'm just getting into the bios and so far after learning placement and such with the menu's, I'm good. I got 0406 bios up and on it so I finally payed attention lol

Just not sure about the voltages, the vdimm overvolts it by like .7 volts, that's not good imo. But as long as I know and pay attention I guess it will be alright. I'm sure I will notice some other things here and there now that I am diving in with this bad boy.

And oh yea, my NB temps are't bad at all, right about 45*c under load but ambiemt is 65*f(just for reference), and I do have many fans so airflow is good.

Other then that, I am becoming pleased with this mb, adjusting to teh Asus way I guess you could say

Hey rz7racer, I'm glad you got everything working finally

Your VDROOP is not bad, I had about .05 loss on my VCORE under load, but BIOS 0406 (not 0408!) has proven to be stable for me for about 9.5 hours of heavy Prime95 and 3 hours of Source engine. VDROOP is non-existant after enabling LLC!

I also get ovevolt on my DIMMs. About .04v. I've got 450 FSB stable with a NB voltage of 1.52 and under load it reaches the low 60s (and this is after reapplying the thermal compound.) No doubt about it; this NB runs hot as satan's ass. But the NB can withstand higher temperatures than the CPU, so it should be fine even into the low 70C's.

Stable with a fairly low VCORE of 1.37.

I'm glad you're finally happy with your Rampage, I promise it's a great mobo

Thanks, I'm getting the hang of it now, Have my E8400 at 4.0GHz now with 1.376vcore and 1.39vNB. I figure since you have a Q that would add enough stress to warrant the extra NB voltage you run imo. I'm at 500MHz fsb right now and going to see just how far it can go, I couldn't get my DFI past 486MHz fsb so I'm actually starting to enjoy this mb. I'm going to let it Orthos for a bit first though.

Thanks to all for putting up with my crazy antics

Pretty similar, I don't particularly know the differences, but there are some.

Glad to hear that everyone is finally figuring this board out. I haven't had much chance to go back to playing with mine, just been too busy. Got to find some time. The vdimm overvolting, something that may be "affected" or changed by adjusting the vdimm ref voltage.

I use the thermalright SI-128 SE. It fits (a bit tight with the retaining bar) and is within a couple of degrees of my old TRUE.

Do you need such a high NB voltage? I had the same issue on installation (auto sets NB to 1.6). I downclocked it to 1.27 (running day to day at 400 FSB) and its orthos stable for hours. My temps idle 45C, load up to 50C (I also replaced the TIM under the NB and SB and added cardboard risers to the NB backplate though)
