@ menko2

I ran some Everest Cache @ Memory Benchmark with my Rampage Formula Rig just to show you the different between the following.

475 9 4275 950 444 12 2N tRD7 Strong

475 9 4275 1140 555 15 2N tRD7 Strong

As you see 1140 is a little bit better then 950. Feel free to test it.

No the surge protector worked fine! it was the mobo stand off screws! I cant believe i overlooked them. I took them out and everything worked fine now.

So onto the drivers...
Before I install Vista, what drivers do i need to install/and/or/update??

Also, someone was telling me to make sure that i set my SATA hard drive to ahci... but i need to research that... i have no clue what that is about

Yep, you should have ONLY the mobo standoffs that you actually are going to put screws into. All the rest have to come out, or you'll start shorting things out and possibly fry components.

Setting SATA to AHCI mode enables all the cool new features of SATA which actually make it fast. If you leave it at IDE mode then it won't really be any better than UDMA133.

Should I be manually setting DRAM Clock Skews? What's there to gain? Better read/write/copy speeds?

Right now I've set ChA to Advance 150ps and ChB to Advance 100ps. I'm using slots A2 and B2 (DIMM2 and DIMM4).

OK, AHCI is enabled.

How long does Vista 64 take to install??

It seems that it hangs for a while and then it finally gets to the next part of the installation. Makes me wonder if i did not set up the BIOS properly or something?
