I just bought an open box Asus P5Q Pro P45 motherboard from Newegg (it's out of stock already) for $81.99 shipped. I was wondering how you guys like yours and if you'd have any OC pointers on the P5Q Pro. I'm very excited about it since I'm coming from a Nvidia 650i Ultra Motherboard!

Well if you're looking to overlclock this board is a breeze to work with (helped a friend overclock his P5Q Pro before picking up a Deluxe my self). You're not going to see insane clock speeds but it's easy to get the FSB into the low to mid 400's for a decent overclock especially after considering the price.
__________________In general it's not a big departure from other Asus boards based around the P35 chipset and many of the same settings can apply. For the E6600, I'd probably just jump to a 400 FSB with 1.35-45 vcore, and bump up the vDimm to 2.1-2.2 (I think that's what those Ballistix are rated at). Set the RAM timings to the rated settings, and manually set the rest of the voltages at or near the default values. This will probably boot without much problem and you can tweek it from there.

Be careful with this motherboard. It does not like RAM over 1000MHZ. Some P5Q Pro work like a charm with those RAMs, some don't, it is random

However, I mut admit that I like this board for its agencement and the 6-engine, which allows me to run a silent PC without any hassle. For the moment, I have not tried to overclock it. I'm waiting for a bios version that will let my RAM run at genuine speed

Its a good mobo. Currently the setup is q9300+Asus P5Q Pro+4gb Corsair (1:1) OC'd to 3.4ghz 24/7
It was tricky @ first, but newer Bios and settings made the OC'd stable. The big plus is the numerous bios settings. I do plan to replace the AC 7 pro cooler. Doesn't cool the Q9300 that well.
